Since my soldering abilities are not sufficient for selling the cables premade, I will try to simplify Jonas Bylund's instructions.

List of parts needed from Radio Shack.

1.  Cat no. 276-1513 Metalized Hood for 9 pin connector $1.99

2.  Cat no. 276-1428 9 pin Female D-sub connector $1.49

3.  Cat no. 276-2009 MPS2222A Transistor $.69

4.  Cat no. 271-1126 pkg of 5 10k-ohm 1/2 watt resistors $.99

5. 6' of 14 or 16 gauge speaker wire $1

Total for cable parts $6.16

If you don't feel like you can make the cable yourself, you can get the cable premade Visit  ALDLCABLE.COM

I HIGHLY recommend getting a cable premade.  Don't say I didn't warn you.

Now to simplify this picture.

The back of the radio shack connector is numbered exactly like the DB9 connector in above picture.

Something has happened to my website and the instructions got scrambled.  I will be making new instructions someday when I get the opportunity.
